The Perfect Installation: Things to Consider

Wi-Fi Signal
Before installation, check your Wi-Fi signal strength at the location of the main water line. The Control needs a 2.4ghz Wi-Fi connection so it can send you alerts.
Installation Location
Your device will need access to an electrical outlet within 10 feet to power on (extension cables up to 100 feet available). It will also need a place on the main water line that comes before any branches to other appliances and after the shut-off valve and pressure-reducing valve (PRV). The device may not be installed outside uncovered, but it may be installed in crawlspaces, garages, sheds or weatherproof NEMA enclosures where it is also protected from UV exposure.

AMAZING SOLUTION!

My wife and I are extremely pleased that we've installed the control Smart home leak detection device. Our local plumber here in Charlotte NC (IRV Plumbing) was extremely efficient with the installation, I was amazed at how quickly it was installed. The biggest most important thing was downloading the StreamLabs water app on our smart phones and understanding how that worked. Love getting real-time water usage information. Within the first week we were alerted to higher than desirable water pressures, which is often the cause of supply-line leaks. I can now have a pressure relieve value installed to resolve this. I have learned that no other vendor offers this feature. Now when we go away we have complete peace of mind, knowing that if we do experience a water leak the StreamLabs unit will automatically shut off the water and we will avoid a major catastrophe.

Great purchase

This system is a piece of mind, I am so happy that I chose this product. I have been able to have some control of my water consumption specially with so many kids in the house. I had this installed by a certified plumber.

Fantastic system! Puts my mind at ease!

I purchased this system about 2 months ago, and I'm happy that I did. I previously had a leak in my pipes which resulted in damage to my walls and replacement pipes in a large majority of my home. Sure, knowing I have new pipes should be a solid peace of mind, but this system puts me completely at ease.

The plumber that installed the system stayed it was very easy. I went with the shark bite option, but he would have preferred I did not choose this option. Just his preference, not that it had anything to do with the quality of the system or ease of install.

I chose to set up the feature to auto shut off the main water line if the water usage at my home went above X% of our typical usage. Well...when we had a guest stay over that takes extra long showers, she learned the hard way about this option! I was notified of a severe leak, but soon realized it was simply a friend with a much longer morning routine than me! Nonetheless, the system operated exactly as I would expect.

Great Security device for home

I bought the device last month for my summer house and it has given me piece of mind that if something begins to leak in the house I can (and the device will) shut down the water. I can't understand why everyone who owns a house wouldn't have one of these. The app is a bit temperamental and needs a firmware update but the company is constantly monitoring the device so they are good backup.
