Some Things Can’t Be Replaced.
Don’t Let Leaks Take Them from You
It doesn’t matter where you live or your home’s value – no one is immune to leaks. In fact, water damage insurance claims are 3 times more common than theft and fire combined.
The average cost of water damage repair and cleanup can range anywhere from $1,000 to $20,000, but the cost isn’t the only problem. Leaks can ruin sentimental items and cause your family to be displaced until renovations are complete. Your insurance premium may increase, or your coverage could be dropped entirely. Memories and security can be lost in a matter of minutes.
The good news? This upheaval of your life is avoidable if you catch leaks in time.
- 40% Of homeowners experience water damage
- 900B Approximate wasted water due to household leaks.
- $10,000 Average insurance claim for water damage.

StreamLabs® Control
Smart water technology for a smarter home.
Whether you’re at home or away, always know what’s with your water thanks to live flow data, instant leak alerts, and pressure and temperature notifications. And if a leak occurs, the free Streamlabs app gives you control over your water system anytime, anywhere.
The StreamLabs Control shut-off valve is installed directly into your main water line and sends ultrasonic sound waves, recording the time delay to measure water flow and detect potential problems. It sends this data in real-time to the StreamLabs app via Wi-Fi, so you always know what’s happening —protecting your home 24/7 no matter where you are.
More About the StreamLabs Control

The Perfect Installation: Things to Consider
- Wi-Fi Signal
Before installation, check your Wi-Fi signal strength at the location of the main water line. The Control needs a 2.4ghz Wi-Fi connection so it can send you alerts. - Installation Location
Your device will need access to an electrical outlet within 10 feet to power on (extension cables up to 100 feet available). It will also need a place on the main water line that comes before any branches to other appliances and after the shut-off valve and pressure-reducing valve (PRV). The device may not be installed outside uncovered, but it may be installed in crawlspaces, garages, sheds or weatherproof NEMA enclosures where it is also protected from UV exposure. - Your PRO Installer

The plumber that installed the system stayed it was very easy. I went with the shark bite option, but he would have preferred I did not choose this option. Just his preference, not that it had anything to do with the quality of the system or ease of install.
I chose to set up the feature to auto shut off the main water line if the water usage at my home went above X% of our typical usage. Well...when we had a guest stay over that takes extra long showers, she learned the hard way about this option! I was notified of a severe leak, but soon realized it was simply a friend with a much longer morning routine than me! Nonetheless, the system operated exactly as I would expect.
I looked at another brand sold at the big box store and the plastic body valve they used is scary. I would watch out for that one.
